Camping for Wusses

So I cut out of work early yesterday so I could see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince before I had to hop a flight back to Hometown, USA to venture on a 'camping' trip with my family. More about HP later...:)
So yep, now I am with my family getting ready to head up the canyon for some good 'ol camping fun. Well, they are actually going camping...you know...tents, fire pit, the whole nine yards while my boyfriend and I will spend the days with them and then head 10 minutes down the canyon to our hotel at night.
My boyfriend argues that since it's an Econo Lodge, that is camping enough. While I think that is kind of the sissy way out, I am still taking the bed (I would have one pissed off back the morning after a night on the ground!) and shower over the tent and outhouse. I am no fool!
And since I am taking online classes, I argued that I just had to bring my laptop so that I could keep up. But really I wanted it so that I could blog and not get behind in Farm Town. Loser.
So, a camping we will go!

haha! Farm Town! That cracks me up! I didn't even know what that was until about three weeks ago!

and I completely agree with your boyfriend. Econo Lodge is as close to camping as this girl gets!

Have fun!

He's right...EconoLodge practically is camping! I'm with you, I'm not a "roughing it" type of gal!

I'm not a camping girl at all, so good luck with this! I can't even imagine doing it!

After camping and roughing it on the ground. This girl learned her lesson the hard way. Now will take the lodge any day. Have fun camping! Invest in lots of bug spray another lesson learned.

I wish I could go camping. The other day I asked Husby and he said, "when hell freezes over." Think I have hope?

so funny! i was raised camping, and i love it. would sleep on the ground any old day... there's just something about it.

Hunny, however, HAS to have his air mattress. so desperately that, last month when we went camping, he discovered his air mattress was ripped and wouldn't blow up, so we had to drive 30 miles to the nearest WalMart to get him a new one, or he'd 'sleep in his car'.

he's such a princess! :)

How was the movie? I can't find anyone to go see it with me! My usual movie buddies- my husband or my dad- neither wants to see it at all. I think I'm going to find myself alone in the theater.... alas. -e

I'd do the same girl!
As I'm getting older...no roughing it for me. No way. I love my comfy bed and showers. Nope. I'll take a camp trailer and all. That's camping to me :)
