Yesterday I chopped about eight inches off my hair. Now I have a cute little bob/shag with side bangs. Pretty smokin' if I do say so myself. I have been back and forth about snipping my tresses for weeks. I kept finding pictures of haircuts that I like and asking my boyfriend if he thinks that cut would look good on me. He, of course, says that I will look beautiful no matter what haircut I get. Lovely, I know, but kinda full of crap. :) I was really trying to find a cut that would flatter the shape of my face. Still not sure what that is...some days is seems round, some days is seems heart shaped. I don't know!
So I thought it humorous when my boyfriend called yesterday before my appointment and left me a message that said something along the lines of
'Rounder faces aren't really flattered by bangs, but heart faces are. Maybe get it cut so you could wear bangs some of the time, and then put it back the rest of the time, kay.'
It just so happened that I had already this story was on the front page of MSN.com, which he had obviously just read too. And he didn't even give them credit. He tried to take credit...what a poseur. Love him for trying though!

What a funny boyfriend! I need to read that article. Who knows, I might be walking around town thinking I look good when really my hair style and my face shape totally clash! Ah! haha :) Glad to hear you like your new do.

Yaya for the NEW cut. Isn't that funny how guys think they know everything...when it turns out they just read it somewhere or heard it from someone else.

I saw the same article on MSN. Is it bad that I don't even know what my face shape is? It's not round or heart-shaped. I'm guessing it's a combo because I don't think it's square or oblong either.
Haha! Too funny! I cut about 8 inches off in January and LOVED it...now I want to cry everyday because I miss my hair so much!

I think its cute he was trying to show an interest in what you were doing. I love when the guy i am dating gives me advice.

Haha! Sounds like something my husband would do. I think it's really sweet that he took the time to call and try to help out. Congrats on the new cut. Sounds fab!!

that makes me smile! how cute! I chopped off 12 inches after I married my husband, things just haven't been the same .. lol but I LOVE my cut now, so he can grow out HIS hair if he wants!
I'm speechless. A man who did his homework on face shapes & the flattering cuts for them? Wow. That's all I can say!
And really, how wonderful that he says you'd look beautiful no matter what I did. I did lock for love when I was dating my last boyfriend and he was seriously pouting about me cutting my hair - even though it was chin length after I got rid 10". I was like - seriously? It's going to kids w/ cancer & you are pouting?

my boyfriend is OBSESSED with long hair. So much so, that i always tease him and tell him i'm going to cut it so short i look like the girl from Jon and Kate. He then tells me that if i do, he'll break up with me.
I kind of wish he'd just lie and tell me i'd be beautiful no matter WHAT my hair looks like... i guess we've passed the 'honeymoon stage' and entered 'brutally, brutally honesty zone'...
Haha! hubby would have never cared about the shape of my face... he is like what ever when it comes to girly stuff... unless the dress makes me look fat then he is all for telling me... hmmm he is actually a sweetie tho, jsut doesnt sound like it!
