I've been less than a good blogger lately. A fair sized chunk of my blogging/commenting time has been consumed by the fact that we not only just bought a house...we have to build it. Wait, we're not building it, we're having it built. And oy, this building process is quite the time sucker. I'm just looking forward to the time when I get to pick all the upgrades and color schemes. I gotta say, I find the task of decorating the place a little daunting though. Any of you loverly readers have a favorite design blog that I can use for inspiration?

If they build it, we will come
I've been less than a good blogger lately. A fair sized chunk of my blogging/commenting time has been consumed by the fact that we not only just bought a house...we have to build it. Wait, we're not building it, we're having it built. And oy, this building process is quite the time sucker. I'm just looking forward to the time when I get to pick all the upgrades and color schemes. UGH buying my house was the most stressful event of my life! but so rewarding, CONGRATS!

How exciting!
I'm old school- I like to flip through actual paper magazines to look for ideas. I do, however, look at clothing style blogs, so maybe I should check out more home design ones as well :)

I'm very jealous of you right now! We're in our wee little condo and the most redecorating I've been able to do is paint a few walls. Congrats on the new place and good luck with the decorating!
Are you having it built from original plans or through a homebuilder? (I worked for one of the big homebuilders in this area for years, so I'm curious :-)

Oh my gosh! So exciting!! Congratulations and I hope the colour picking is done soon. When my parents built their house, they were so fed up with all the colour picking/tile picking/carpet/hardwood etc etc etc

That is so exciting and getting a house built according to your specifications is a dream come true. I really like Young House Love for design ideas. There is another one my friend reads called Bower Power that I've heard is nice too.

Definitely Young House Love and I also love The Brick House but it may not be everyone's style. :)
